Been busy updating my blog entry for the UKWW SEO Contest. Whew! I’m still not appearing on the top pages, however I made some changes and I hope it works, and I’m aiming to reach page 1 on the Google search result for the seocontest2008 keyword.

So, where are you at?
Here’s an update on the on-going SEOcontest2008 hosted by the UK WWW forum community.
You can find the ranking position, website URL, SERPs on Google, website owner and of course the UKWWW forum user’s id. Visit UKWWW SEOContest2008 to see the ranking stat and please take note that the stat is updated each day, according to the UK WWW admin . So, keep up the good work guys and you’ll see, you will be the next one on the top…right after me.

Search Engine Optimization Contest 2008
The UK Webmaster World Community launches an international SEO contest and the winner will receive $1000 and each 3 runners up will get $100. For the targeted key phrase seocontest2008
If you are interested, here’s how to join:
In order to help us identify you as a participant during the contest you need to do two things:
1. Take the rules seriously
2. Insert HTML code into your competitive design page
The UK Webmaster World Community will design a result table page to monitor the ranking of each qualified contestant. Fill out Registration form (all fields are required!)
RULES:
1. Contestant is allowed to use a domain, sub-domain or folder as your entry page. The page must be brand new (No back link, No cache version).
2. All SEO techniques are allowed and accepted except cloaking, and hiding of text.
3. Only one entry per Forum member (you have to be a member before you can join the contest)
4. If you wished to change your entry URL, you are allowed to do so, just make sure that the URL is brand new, no incoming links and no cached version. And your old URL will be removed from the database.
Declaration of Winners!
The winners will be determine base on the results display by Google.com, on the 1st of April 2008 at 1 PM (UK time). The number #1 URL will be the winner of the seocontest2008.
Additional Notes:
1. In order to give everyone a fair chance of winning, geographic location is disregarded.
2. Prizes will be released through PayPal
